5 Star Rating System

Hi,
Here I am, back again. I thought you might like to have a full explanation of the 5 star rating.

The 5 stars are given to your blogger profile and affect the posts and payments you get. Here's a run down of how it works;
The following scores are given for each action, the average of all scores determines your final rating.

. Task completed and submitted - 4/5
. The advertiser gives your post a rating - a score between 1 and 5A
. A task expires within 24 hours - 2.5/5
. Post is sent back for fixing - 2.5/5
. Your post was declined - 1/5

Your final star rating is also an average taken over all blogs listed in your account.

What does the star rating affect?
Tasks will be delivered to the highest rated blogs first, then work their way down to the lowest rated blogs.Star ratings are also divided by the blogs Page rank, e.g. if an advertiser creates a campaign for Page Rank 3 blogs only, the tasks will be delivered to the high star rated blogs with Page Rank 3 first, then to the lower star rated blogs with Page Rank 3.

Hope this is helpful for you all. Will speak to you again soon! ;)

Jennifer

*Important notice about campaign notification emails
New campaigns are emailed to all suitable bloggers. This does not mean that you will definitely find the campaign in your admin panel. Opportunities are taken quickly and it is up to you to log in and accept the task before all opportunities are taken.

I did not received any email for new campaigns and keep checking the opportunities panel to get a task. But after 4 tasks completed nothing is offered so far. I want to clarify is it really emailed to us or we need to check our panel? Thanks!

I have 4 start out of 5..but I don't have any campaigns anymore..I think they will base on the google page rank..the higher the rank you are...you get lots of campaigns.

I can see that Smorty advertisers still value the Page Rank, and Page Rank is determined by Google's algorithm. Late last year, posties of another popular paid to blog site have had their PRs zeroed. (My blog is not yet approved with them). This had lead them to create their own ranking of blogs.

Google had suggested to add rel="nofollow" tags to all paid links as the paid links that we sell are screwing up Google's algorithm because this helps the PR and popularity of the advertiser's site. So if we do this, the paid link no longer directly points to the advertiser's site, which defeats the purpose for our review and I don't think our advertisers will like this in anyway....

I don't think Google has penalized ALL Smorty posties yet, but isn't it about time that we stand up to Google and have Smorty use their own ranking of blogs and educate advertisers that PR is not the end all for all blog's popularity/relevance? Not saying we have to follow the other Paid to blog site, but I think we just need to educate advertisers more about PR and how it actually affects both advertisers and bloggers..

I love Smorty and how you get paid every 7 days but I've been unproductive for a couple of weeks already and I just had to add in my 2 cents upon seeing the post that advertisers still heavily rely on PR...

Thank you very much for your time and attention! Long live smorty!

yeah I think smorty sets its own ranking system and not google's page rank... if advertisers want them then they dictate and not be dictated
